1) Why is AnooX better for me as a search engine user?   Because AnooX search results are democratically powered by YOU the People via your majority Vote and people as a whole, aka "Wisdom of the Crowds", are far more intelligent and knowledgeable than few hundred or thousand machines in silicon valley which is how the search results of Google or Yahoo are formed --- [+ Details].

2) Why is AnooX search engine better for me as an Advertiser?   Because AnooX de-emphasizes the price per click in pricing of Keyword based pay-per-click Advertising and instead emphasizes non-pricing factors such as how long you have been an AnooX Advertiser. 3) Why don't I hear much about AnooX from the Big Media?   Because AnooX does Two things for the benefit of People and small businesses that the Big (main stream) Media does not like: AnooX democratizes the dissemination of information, that is AnooX search results and news rather than being mysteriously decided by machines as is the case with Google or Yahoo are democratically decided by YOU. 5) Why are AnooX search results sometimes not so good?   Because currently AnooX is way under powered in regard to the computing resources that we have. As a result we have limited the Indexing that we do to the home page of web sites and few pages below the home page. As a result AnooX is currently not so good for finding documents, but it is best for finding businesses, which naturally have a home page. 6) When are AnooX search results better than Google or Yahoo?   AnooX search results are better than Google or Yahoo when what you are looking for has a business web site. Because as noted under FAQ # 5, we are pretty much limiting our Indexing to the home pages of Web sites for now, due to lack of computing resources. And since every business worthwhile today has a Web site, and since AnooX search results are democratically generated by the knowledge of the People World Wide, then it is very likely that you will find the better results with AnooX.

7) I read that I can share in AnooX Ad revenues. How?   You can sign-up to make AnooX your preferred search engine. This is a free sign-up. Once you have signed up for this program thereafter when you search with AnooX, any Advertising revenues that we generate due to your click on a Paid Listing, then you will receive 20% of such Ad revenues generated due to your usage of AnooX. --- [+ Details].

8) Why is my Web site not appearing under AnooX search results?   It can be because your Web site is not Indexed yet by AnooX, if this is the case then you can submit for free Indexing --- [+ Details]. It can also be because your site has received very low ranking after it was Indexed, in which case you can increase its ranking by re-submitting it for Paid Indexing --- [+ Details]. Of course keeping in mind that ultimately it is the decision of the People as to what ranking your listings will receive under given Keywords searched for, but if your site is ranked very low to start with then it may not receive much Votes for it to move up, so a one time boost in ranking which is what you will get from Paid Indexing can help.

9) How do the People change the AnooX results and make it better?   People, which can be you yourself and anybody else, change the AnooX search results by searching for what you are looking for, and then holding your mouse over the button that says [Vote for this Listing], which appears to the right of each listing on the search results pages, and then Voting that listing Up, Down or as SPAM. All the votes issued by all the people are then taken into account by AnooX every 15 minutes, changing the AnooX search results as per your knowledge then every 15 minutes of every day --- [+ Details]. 10) What does it mean that AnooX is operated on an Open Source model?   AnooX search engine source & binary code are given for free to qualified companies world wide who want to operate localized, that is country based, versions of AnooX. In which case these local (country) based operators of AnooX will operate AnooX on their own and on their own servers and selling Advertising on their own to their country, paying to AnooX a small percentage of Advertising revenues that they generate.
