Many might argue that wars have always existed. True, but this does not prove that resorting to war is inevitable, nor can we assume that a world without war is an impossible goal to achieve. The fact that war has marked our past does not mean that it must also be part of our future.
The abolition of war is the first and indispensable step in this direction. We can call it "utopia", since it has never happened before. Many years ago even the abolition of slavery seemed "utopian". Then, thanks to a movement of opinion that gradually involved more and more people, the idea of slavery itself became unacceptable and today it repels us. A utopia that has become reality.
We need to convince millions of people that abolishing war is also an urgent need and an achievable goal. Until the idea of war becomes a taboo and will not be eliminated from the history of humanity.
Working together for a world without war is the best thing we can do for future generations.
